Never underestimate the power of a shower

The humidaty is a killer here its monsoon till the end of the month. The rain doestnt bother me much but the dampness is a killer. Everthing in my room is damp and my pillow smells like a wet dog has been hanging out on it :) Aparently clothes and shows have been going green and moldy in other rooms even after one week so iv been airing out my room as much as possible and dribbling essential oil all over my bed to try and cover up the doggy smell.
There are insects everywhere too but other than all that everything is smashing :)

Eary start to a wonderful day

Well another wonderful start to another wonderful day. Had a yoga class at 6.30 this morning and what a great way to start the day. I really enjoyed it and also realised how much iv missed it and how unflexable i have become in the last year but that will all change soon!
Getting alot more used to the heat thanfully the only thing is the unbelievable humidity its crazy everthing is constantly damp here and other people in the guest house have told me to be careful with my clothes as theres have become all green and moldy even after one week of be here. Sick eh.
Bought some lovely bits today the clothes are all made here in auroville and they even had scarfs made from bamboo :)
Also visited a musical instrument workshop which was cool and im gona go to a Didgeridoo class on sat which should be fun.
Kat that silk sleeping bag line is the Best thing ever thank you

Day 3 nov 05/11/2011

Had a wonderful morning with a 40 min cycle trough the forest and lots of little villages to Sadhana Forest. I traveled with two lovely people which was great as i dont think i would have managed that huge motor way on my own! It was my first real experiece with the local villages and it was a great eye opener. All the children were saying hello and waving as we passed which was lovely. We reached our destination and as the sweat poured our of every pour in my body I felt so excited to finaly come see the forest and meet the people who started it all off.
Every sunday from 11-12 the invite all the childeren from the local villages to come and do lots of different activities. A guy filled us in on how it works : the space is designed for the children to do what ever they want to do. there is pains and paper, drums, material (which i enjoyed making snails and flowers our of bits of paper and odd materials) hoolahoops and lots of other things for them to get as involved as they would like. I enjoyed every second of it
After that session i used the "famous" toilets which ya gots to squat to use, iv been lucky and have been using normal toilets since i arrived but this went ok i didnt fall in or anything :)
Then i met the man himself and believe it or not a guy from cork who is spending 6 months there and a lady form Belfast who has been living there for 2 years.I was told i can come mon-wed and on friday if i want to come and stay. He said i can stay for as long as i wish and you never know maybe ill never leave........
